If for whatever reason a basketball camp (I’m running) isn’t the right fit for a kid, we’ll promptly provide a refund … no questions asked!
This has been my policy since 2008.
From the (few) refund requests I do get, they come from parents, who were recently exposed to my camps. Their analysis includes whether their kid received adequate skill development and in-camp competition. If not, they’ll request refund.
From a macro-perspective, this “seems” to make total sense.
But here’s the problem, the parent is not factoring in the intangibles!

In addition to skill development and in-camp competitive play, their kid receives intangibles, which builds character, self-confidence, self-accountability, life-long relationships, and leadership!
In my view, the intangibles (in many cases) are more valuable than the basketball benefits the kid receives.
So, when a parent quickly removes their kid from one of my basketball camps (without understanding the big picture), I simply say “They just don’t know!
