To accelerate a kid’s dribbling skill, have him or her dribble a tennis ball.
First, have the kid start in a stationary position. He or she is to dribble the tennis ball 10 times with their right hand. Thereafter, dribble 10 times with their left hand. When dribbling, have the kid dribble using the pads of their fingers, not their palm. Perform 5 sets.
Afterwards, have the kid walk while dribbling the tennis ball. Again, have the kid dribble 10 times with their right hand and 10 times with their left hand. Perform 5 sets.
ADVANCED: Have your kid dribble both tennis balls simultaneously. The tennis balls may be dribbled in a piston motion or together.
